For example, a bag of kibble might read… “for dogs from 5 to 15 pounds feed 1/2… to… 1-1/2 cups a day”.
A 50 ml bottle of ivermectin 1% solution costs around $35 and would be enough to treat 150,000 pounds of dogs when fully diluted. There are instructions below for creating a 30:1 dilution, which works best for small dogs and can also be used for large dogs, and also instructions for creating a 9:1 dilution, which is more suited to large dogs. See below for where to find these products.
I have a 6 and a half year old Australian cattle dog mix. She’s a little overweight is 69 pounds. I do the raw meat diet a half a cup of grain-free dry. Somewhere I read three quarters of a pound abirami and maybe it’s because I was mixing it with the- dry food. This is substantially less than he was getting when he was living with his father. He also gets a snack in the late morning. Another half cup of the dry. He goes to work with me every single day and plays endlessly. He is very active but yet I can’t seem to get him to lose any weight and he always seems hungry. I don’t know if it’s because he really is hungry or if he just likes to eat. I sometimes have difficulty sticking to the schedule because we work about 15 hours a day and most of it is out in the field but I try to be as consistent as possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Durant is a happy and wiggly 1-year-old, 15-pound Terrier mix that came to AFRP from the Monterey County Shelter after being picked up as a stray in March. Full of personality, Durant walks enthusiastically on the leash and is polite when meeting other dogs of all sizes. He has lots of happy energy and will do best with an active adopter that can take him on walks, hikes and adventures. Durant had a rough start in life, but he's ready to rebound.
