People that care for dogs with allergies often become frustrated by the intractable nature of the problem.
Sounds like two separate issues. I would ask your vet for a referal to a veterinary dermatolgist to rule out environmental allergies. Or, a veterinary internal medicine specialist if the gastrointestinal symptoms are still going on. Call the vet that examined your pet and leave a message for him to call you back when he has a minute. See what he advises. I doubt changing the dog’s food will fix this. But, see what the vet says…… PS: No cheap way out of this, additional testing may be needed to get an accurate diagnosis. Hopefully it’s mild/seasonal allergies and it can be managed by the regular vet. If it’s been going on for 1 year/4seasons or the symptoms are severe, I would go right to a specialist.
I would suggest trying Purina Beyond Simply 9 Lamb. It does not contain the items you listed. Since switching to it, my itchy (allergic to everything) dogs are doing much better!
