Hello. I have a senior Old English Sheepdog who has been diagnosed with IBS by endoscopy and colonoscopy. My vet put her on Hills Z/D diet. We have been trying it for over a month and her poops are horrible… wet, gooey, slimy, complete mess…. We also believe she has allergies to both chicken and beef so I have to avoid all foods that contain those; which is difficult. My research has found that a low fat diet is best for dogs with ibs but I seem to be having a very hard time finding a low fat food that does not contain chicken of some sort in it…. Would appreciate any help you can provide. I find it so distressing that vets think these prescription diets are the answer….

Ultimately, it's up to you to chat with your veterinarian to decide whether the best wet dog food is right for your Fido.
