The Stroller Conversion Kit for the is a conversion kit for the Comfort Wagon trailer. While it is not a trailer on its own, it does allow the owner to convert their bicycle trailer into a push stroller to use without a bike. The kit features a front wheel attachment and a handlebar for quickly and easily converting a standard Pet Ego trailer into a stroller. Both the trailer and the conversion kits are available in medium and large sizes for buyers with different sizes of dogs.
Why We Love ItI first started looking into dog bike trailers when I wanted to take my miniature schnauzer along with me on bike rides. She is too small to really enjoy one of our dog bike leashes and I felt bad having to leave her behind when I take Parker biking. The Solvit HoundAbout II dog bicycle trailer was the perfect solution. These trailers are built especially for dogs. The large dog bike trailer is even great for when Parker gets tired of running alongside the bike. He just hops in and takes it easy. The medium trailer holds a maximum of 50 lbs (this does not mean that a 50 lb dog will fit comfortably - please refer to the Product Specifications tab above to see dimensions to determine if your dog will fit). The large dog bike trailer holds up to 110 lbs. Again, please check the Solvit Product Specifications tab above to make sure you purchase the appropriate size bike trailer to fit your dog/s based on the trailer dimensions. Solvit Dog bicycle trailers are also great for older dogs that want to still be part of the fun. Check out the features that make the Solvit Houndabout II dog bike trailer the perfect bike accessory for your pup below.

Thisis the readily convertible version of Booyah’s bicycle trailer forsmall dogs. It comes with all you need to convert into a stroller (andback again) by simply swapping the tow bar for a 10” front wheelassembly and adding a 36” high handlebar. As with the trailer-onlyversion, reviews are reasonably good without being excellent. But ifyou have a diminutive dog in need of a trailer or stroller or both, this Booyah may be worth checking out…Builtwith smaller dogs in mind the DoggyRide Mini is one of the most popularsmall dog biketrailers which is currently available in three colors (see below). Itsdiminutive size shouldn’t lead one into thinking thedesign is any less detailed than trailers for larger dogs, however. Itincludes pretty much everything you could want in a trailer and, although compact, is a tough little number constructed with 600D Nylon,a powdered steel frame and UV resistant mesh. The 12.5” inch wheels arepull-release and the canopy of the trailer can be folded down forstorage with the release of a single pin. The design also comes with arain screen, a safety flag, an interior leash set, accessory pouchesand a bicycle hitch. The DoggyRide is versatile too. It has a front andrear entrance/exit as well as a zipped sun roof if your pooch wouldlike a 360 degree view of his or her progress! On top of this, anoptional stroller conversion kit is available and, with the wheelsremoved, the design can function as a soft dog crate! The product meetsor exceeds ASTM standards and both owners and their dogs love it! TheDoggyRide Mini is by no means one of the cheaper dog trailers out onthemarket, but in our opinion it’s certainly one of the best!Ofcourse, another benefit of transporting yourself and your pet in thisway is that it’s far more environmentally friendly than traveling bycar: a few basic rations are all that’s needed for the pilot andpassenger to keep going – a dog bicycle trailer doesn’t need much gas!And it only seems right that, if you decide to travel to some pleasantnatural area with your furry friend, your journey should be aspollution-free as possible. And as well as keeping the localenvironment healthy, yet another benefit of a dog trailer is that itwill help to keep the cyclist in better shape too! We know that cyclingis good exercise in itself but, with a little extra wagging weight tobe pulled along, it can only help to burn off a few more calories andbuild up those muscles a little more. But it’s unlikely to feel likehard work – barring big dogs on steep hills! – it’ll more than likelyjust feel like fun. But if the going does get tough, just stop and takea break. After all, you will have the freedom to do so!The Solvit HoundAbout II 62394 is a simple and effective solution for taking pets on bicycle trips, eliminating the need to a pet to the bike, which is good for older dogs with joint problems that cannot run. The HoundAbout features an extra-wide wheelbase for stability. It also features a rustproof aluminum frame, as well as a polyester cabin with a zippered mesh layer for airflow, and a zippered vinyl layer for protection from the elements. The interior cabin space is 26 inches long, 17 inches wide, and 20 inches high, and features a maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. Finally, the HoundAbout trailer transforms into a stroller with the Stroller Conversion Kit.
