So add some outback-style bounce to your dog's diet with the Zignature Kangaroo Canned Dog Food!Have a 3 year-old Havanese who has a very dry, flaky coat and occasional hotspots. My Veterinarian suggested Omega 3 or Krill oil and we even tried Royal Canin dog food with Skin Support. My Veterinarian also suggested I try a novel protein that my dog had never tried before. Bought some cans of Wild Kangaroo Entrée at the pet store and my dog loves the taste! After 3 week’s her coat is 80% better and she only scratches a bit now and have not encountered a hotspotThe Kangaroo meat is different from what most American dogs have grown up on, so the chance of them being sensitive to this meat is pretty minimal. Plus, this meat seems to run in the 8-14% fat ratios so a lot of dogs that struggle with obstructive bowel disorder (OBD) may be able to handle this food, too.Anyway I have fed my pup the Goat, kangaroo, and Salmon. Surprisingly he didn’t care much for it. Especially the Kangaroo. I think he is not a big fan of mussels. It seems that a lot of canned dog food from New Zealand loves to put mussels in their food. Ziwi peak is the worst. God you open a can of ziwi peak and it stinks to high heaven. Also mauri was not cheap although it smells a lot less than Ziwi peak. Anyway It was cheaper for me to buy the goat and kangaroo meat and prepare it myself minus the mussels.
