Give your backyard the peaceful atmosphere you've been hoping for by controlling your dog's barking behavior with Petco's ultrasonic dog bark control collars.
To avoid the contact nubs rubbing on your dog's neck and causing discomfort, BarkWise™ should only be worn for up to 12 hour periods. This will also give you the chance to charge the unit while your dog enjoys some collar-free time.
The vaster is a highly advanced dog collar that supports remote control from 330 yards making it ideal for training your dog from long distances. The built-in Lithium rechargeable batteries are long lasting and hold power for long hours, unlike most standard dog training collars. The collar is quite versatile and fits most dogs weighing from 15lbs onwards.

Petco Chain Control Collar for Dogs, 14" Length
When using a shock collar, the key is to apply the least amount of zap needed to get the job done. Early versions of shock collars had very little means of adjusting the level of the shock. They were permanently set to "weld" and, because of this, good for very little. In contrast, modern shock collars have a huge number of levels. My shock collar has 48 levels available, all the way from imperceptible to the smallest of dogs all the way to quite hot for the most stubborn of dogs. Many levels are also useful to avoid overstepping. Overstepping is when level 5 is too little for the dog to notice and level 6 causes the dog to vocalize (which indicates that the level is too high).Thank you for contacting Chuck & Don’s Pet Food Outlet with your question. I understand the frustration with a barking dog but please know that barking is a perfectly normal behavior. Dogs bark for many reasons; excessive or nuisance barking may be due to boredom or loneliness and a bark control device may be an option. There are 3 correction methods: tone, stimulation (shock), and citronella spray correction. They are all based on the same principle. The collars activate when your dog barks and introduce a corrective stimulus that disrupts barking. Your dog will then associate this correction with barking and learn to curb nuisance barking.Just as it was mentioned in the discussion of a perfect training collar earlier this week, not every dog will abide to traditional training methods. In those cases, one of more common choices that pet parents contemplate on are best electric collars for dogs that are very safe, reasonably priced and extremely effective and humane.Multiple studies2, 3, 4, 5 have reported that shock collars definitely cause undue stress on a dog. A study of guard dogs2, specifically bred for toughness and low sensitivity to pain and stress, found that training with shock collars caused long lasting stress effects to the point that the dog continued to associate their handler as aversive even outside of a training context. The dogs exhibited behaviors clearly associated with fear and anxiety long after they had received shocks. The scientists conducting this study stated: “The conclusions, therefore are, that being trained [with electric shock] is stressful. That receiving shocks is a painful experience to dogs, and that the dogs have learned that the presence of their owner (or his commands) announces reception of shocks, even outside of the normal training context.”
