Glowdoggies are warrantied to be bastions of durability and money not thrown down the drain for at least 2 years, though actual life expectancy spans many more. Their Superflux LEDs are rated for 150,000 hours of use. And although ravers will be disappointed to hear the the LEDs in Glowdoggie collars do not have a strobe or flash setting, this news should please epileptics and the dogs themselves, whose exposure to such pulsations has been known to trigger seizures and neuroticism.
All Glowdoggie LED collars come with a 2 year warranty. They are 100% waterproof and made in Germany to the world’s highest quality and environmental standards. They are not to be confused with the low quality, novelty light-up dog collars mass produced in China.

When you first receive your Glowdoggie™ LED collar, the first thing you’ll notice is that the LED lights aren’t glowing. This is because we’ve added a small plastic cap inside the battery assembly to keep the lights off during shipping. Removing the cap is simple, just follow the instructions or watch the videos below. (For the Mini, see the guide sheet included with the product). The Glowdoggie™ is not a collar in the traditional sense, and is not intended to be used as such. Never attach a leash to the Glowdoggie™ or restrain your dog via the product. It’s important to note that the Glowdoggie is NOT A COLLAR in the traditional sense. It is to be to your dog’s existing collar or harness. to the Glowdoggie or try to restrain your dog by holding on to it. It is not constructed to withstand such pulling force. This will not only void your warranty but possibly damage an otherwise thoroughly durable product. Glowdoggie™ lighted dog collars have a patented, built-in motion sensor that automatically turns on the LEDs when the battery section is facing downwards or sideways, and slowly turns them off when the batteries are held in a motionless, upwards position for over 45 seconds. It’s as simple yet as technically advanced as that. You just slide it on over the dog’s head and off you go. (See the video below for a fun demonstration). The Glowdoggie’s electronics also make use of advanced power management technology, to guarantee efficient and effective use of the batteries for many months. Store your Glowdoggie™ LED collar at room temperature, particularly in winter. Do not try to open the collar or change the batteries if the plastic is noticeably hard due to freezing temperatures. Wait until you get back inside and the plastic has a few minutes to “soften up”. To keep your Glowdoggie Classic LED collar off when traveling, simply roll down the silicone sleeve on one side of the collar and disconnect the battery section from the LED tube. If you have kept your battery cap, then place this over the spring and reconnect the two sections. If you do not have the battery cap, make sure to place the product inside a sealed bag, such as a Ziplock bag, to prevent moisture from gettting in or losing one of the batteries.
