Sometimes you'll see pink paws on puppies who have light fur, but that doesn't mean that all white dogs automatically have pink paws
Dogs spend time each day grooming themselves so licking their paws is natural. However the licking, licking, licking all night long. Biting, biting, biting until the skin is raw and bleeding. Licking until the fur is a funky pink color, IS NOT NATURAL!
Of course, if you don’t want to deal with applying wax, pads, or boots to your pup at all, the next best course of action is to clean their paws after every walk. This way, you remove the potential irritants and toxic chemicals, which limits the amount of damage they can do. Salt left on the paws will continue to dry the pads and is especially bad for them if ingested. This product allows you to gently push your dog’s paw into regular warm water while the bristles inside remove any particulate. It’s easy to use and makes quick work of cleaning them up. Available in pink, blue, and black, in three different sizes to match your dog.

Take a peek at all four of your dog’s paws and look for red or pink abrasions that resemble burns or look like your dog “skinned” the area. While looking at his paws, take a quick look at each nail for any injury. Abrasions on paw pads are usually paired with torn nails, so check everything.Red, pink or swollen paw pads can result from asphalt burns, insect stings, allergies or trauma, such as stepping on a thorn or sharp object. If your dog presents with this type of symptom, gently wash the area and examine the paw for cuts, puncture wounds or embedded objects. Paws that bleed, are warm to the touch or have a puslike discharge should receive immediate medical attention. Infection could be present and your pup may need an antibiotic.Dogs can get dirty rather quickly, especially if they are light colored. Most of the time, coat discoloration results from something they've gotten into. Dirt, garbage and miscellaneous grime that dogs seem to find can all leave ugly, stubborn stains on a light coat, but those stains are easy to recognize. However, if your dog has pink stains on its paws, it could be a sign of a skin infection. I just found a small pink wart on my 14 month old chihuahua's paw this morning - it's located at the 'knuckles.' I found it because it was bleeding a very small amount this morning.
There is only one and the nail looks intact. It hasn't bled since I cleaned it up and I don't see anything inside the spot nor anything under her paw. Should I worry or just monitor it?
Last night we went running at the park and I also gave her a bath before bed.
Her diet includes dry dog food from Blue Buffalo and raw hide bones with an occasional spoon full of moist dog food. (2-3x/wk)
She weighs about 6lbs.
Any advice you's recommend would be great. I'd like to try that Vit E idea.

The standards that the AKC has set don't always address the color of a dog's pads, but in some cases, if any pink is present on the paw pads, the dog's score can be affected. The AKC standards for the Boerboel breed, for example, lists pink paw pads as the only serious fault that could influence a dog's ranking in a show, although they won't disqualify her.
