A Home 4 Spot came to the rescue, had him fixed up, and brought him to safety. Having been supporting A Home 4 Spot from the outside, I decided to foster this sweet baby. I took him to adoption events and home visits but in the end he became part of my heart and now family. Gizzy is a sweet 9 lb Chiweenie who is “Mr. Personality” He loves to play play play and his best friend is our rescue cat, Ty. They are currently training for an audition on “Wrestlemania”…lol. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers, Diana and Amanda for seeing the potential and saving so many medical needs dogs in Las Vegas. I
For any dog adopted from Las Vegas Labrador Rescue, there will be an adoption fee. This fee will range from $200 and up. It will also be determined based on how much we have put into rescuing and rehabilitating each individual dog. The fee will go directly back into the fund we use for vet bills, food and other necessities our future rescue dogs will need.
Nevada SPCA has not raised adoption fees in more than 12 years.

Nick is nothing if not persistent. He first contacted VSR way back at the beginning of September. Once his application was approved, we had to find somebody to do his home visit, which happens to be in Arizona. When we found someone to do it for us, finding a time that worked for everybody proved difficult, but Nick never gave up. He stayed in touch with Tammy, letting her know that he and his wife had a trip planned to Vegas in mid-October, and that could be a perfect time to find their new family member. After meeting who we felt were the best choices for Nick and his family, he and his wife decided on Denny. It must have been meant to be, because during their trip they did some gambling, and got down to their last $100. Would they go home empty handed? Would the new family member be put on hold? Well the gambling Gods must be dog lovers because Nick won his money back. Enough money to adopt one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs VSR has ever had. We couldn’t be happier for our calm boy, Denny. But you know you can’t go off to Arizona until you wag on, darling Denny. Wag on.
