Multi Color Wave - Leather Embroidered Dog Collar by FILLYDOG
Purple Multi Color Triangle - Leather Embroidered Dog Collar by FILLYDOG
Our dogs have always had a collar with the phone # on it, if we wrote it in, or stamped it if a leather collar, or the many years now ordered embroidered in the nylon collar:
Although there are that may be suitable for your dog, the most common is a standard flat collar. These are usually offered in nylon mesh, nylon webbing, or leather. You can choose a collar with the text embroidered or printed right onto the collar or one with a plate, usually metal, attached to the collar. Along with the dog's name, it's a good idea to add your cell phone number to the text, because if your dog is lost, you're likely to be out looking for him and not available to answer your home phone.

The embroidery is perfect! Letters and numbers are clear and the stitching is tight - high quality - weather proof and dog proof! I bought these collars because my 15 year old dog got out of the yard on a cold rainy winter night. She was turned into the city pound but her IDs had fallen off of her collar so the pound had no way to contact me. I finally found her 3 days later when they posted her picture online. She spent a horrible weekend in a cold miserable place all by herself because of no ID (I do not want my dogs chipped) - with this new collar that won't happen again. The leather the collar is made from and the stainless steel hardware are also top quality. SHe has managed to pull off and destroy 3 embroidered collars I purchased for one of my other dogs. I received replacement collars in a timely manner and I asked for a more study collar. THe leather spiked collar was recommended, in less than a month it was destroyed.
I have decided to have my dogs chipped!I purchased my first embroidered leather collar 4-5 years ago for my dog, who passed away this year. It was a super collar, great quality, and for a dog who kept losing his tags, a perfect way to ensure he could be easily identified if necessary. When I adopted a new dog (a gigantic 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd), a month ago, this collar was my first purchase for him.
There was a snafu on the delivery, and even though UPS showed the package as delivered, it was not. The helpful folks at HotDogCollars explained that this had happened before and suggested that a I check a few places (neighbors, back door, etc), and said that if it hadn't arrived in three days to contact them again. I actually waited a week just to be sure, and they quickly rectified the issue, making and shipping a new one.
Of course, Murphy's Law kicked in, and the first collar showed up two days later (a total of 9 days, so keep that in mind if this happens to you), too late to stop the presses on the new one, so now I have a spare. Given the high quality of the collar, I probably won't ever need it!
Thanks, HDC. You provide great products and excellent customer service.
