I have been feeding my dog Diamond Dog Food for about 1-2 months now..Recently about 3 weeks ago after purchasing a New bag of Diamond Dog Food my dog being throwing back up the food after about 30mins of eating it... He got to a point where he stopped eating, drinking and just not being all around his normal self. You could tell something wasn't right.. He went from having diarrhea to being constipated.. We thought it was Parvo at 1st so we took him to the vet. Wasn't Parvo. So after not eating for about 3 days straight he slowly started back to drinking water and then slowly got his appetite back. We began feeding him a different brand of dog food.. He didn't throw it up and he didn't get sick. He actually got better.

It sounds like mine is one more voice added to the resounding negative reviews of Diamond dog food. Very concerning. I had been feeding my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy the 'Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy Food' lamb and rice formula since she was weaned from her mother. However, the last bag of food I purchased for her in April 2017 caused my dog pain and suffering. She had chronic diarrhea, vomiting, was lethargic, had some blood in her stool, even the shakes and a potential minor seizure one day. She even developed flaky and irritated skin under her armpits and belly. Whenever I'd cook chicken and white rice for my dog, she would get back to normal. However, as I would slowly try to re-introduce the Diamond Naturals kibble back into her bowl, the vomiting, loose stool and diarrhea would return.my neighbor feeds dog chow to his 10 year old 90 pound dog and its doing well. His 20 pound poodle mix is also on dog chow and seems really healthy. Remember they are dogs, omnivores and not cats which are carnivores. I feed high quality food to my 60 pound female mutt but my cat ( who is over 20) eats purina canned and friskies which is owned by Purina. What is right? Who knows! But remember, my neighbor pays $15 for a 50 pound bag and I pay $50 for a 30# bag!"Unfortunately, the inadequacy Buster is feeling is common among normal, everyday dogs," Thannum said. "No matter how much their families love them, regular dogs can't help but be affected by the unrealistic images shoved down their throats by dog-food companies like Purina, Cycle, and Iams. Dogs like Buster need to understand that if they were to meet the supposedly perfect animals they see on the food bag, they'd see and smell dogs with a lot of the same problems they have."although i would never suggest a dog to eats this so called “food”, i would donate it to my local shelter, The only reason is, that most shelters already feed this “food” and since purina has already made their money off of the bag you have now, if you donate it tha would mean that is one less bag the shelter has to buy
